Agave parryi truncata is a hardy blue gray colored Agave with red thorns. The Truncata form has wider thicker leaves than the regular parryi. The flower on this plant are a show stopper. The plant shots an 8 to 15 foot tall flower spike straight into the air and on the end of the spike are small white flowers held on by brackets. Plants will die shortly after flowering but pups will fall from the flower spike and suckers will form around the mother plant. At truly unique sight to see.
This plant is one of the most hardy forms, handling down to 0 to 10F, if well drained. A must have for the hardy cactus garden. .
