Manfreda virginica is a hardy cousin to the Agave and is found native in Virginia. Though the plant is not as large as an Agave it does add a nice addition to any hardy cactus garden or arid look. Plant usually grow 1 foot wide or more and 1 foot tall. Flower spikes can reach 3 to 5 feet tall and hold small maroon and yellow flowers. A great tough plant for the dry garden.
