Marsilea mutica is commonly called a variegated 4 leaf clover. It is in fact a fern that produces leaves just like a clover but with a light green center of the 4 leaves. Normally grown as a aquatic plant or in damp locations it can grow as a bog plant or in slightly deeper water it can grow completely aquatic with the leaves laying on the surface of the water. A bit larger growing than the Marsilea quadrafolia species. Plants sold in 4 inch pots or barerooted in plastic bags.
