Amorphophallus hewittii (Mt Singai) one of the more dramatic and larger growing Amorphophallus. This species is sometimes compared to Amorph titanum in size. Mature plants can grow over 12 feet tall with large umbrella like foliage held above. The petiole is nicely marked with dark greens and brown markings we found several different clones in one small area and have found seedlings can vary greatly in petiole markings. The inflorescence is very large up to 4 to 5 feet held on large petiole. The spath is often green with red interior and red to pink spath. Tubers can get very large over 30lbs or more. Very rare and seldom offered. Plants often are in stock for a window of time then gone for years before more can be put back on the market. Seedlings currently grown in 4 1/2 inch pots around 6 inches tall.
