Description
Sabal minor Cherokee is said to be one of the hardiest palm known. This dwarf palmetto has been recorded of surviving a -11F winter. Regularly recorded as a zone 7b and up tropical plant. This one maybe able to handle a bit more cold than the others. Worth testing in zone 6 locations with some protection. Growing slowly over time a mature Sabal can be well over 8 feet tall or more. Plants sold are 1 year old seedlings in 4 to 4 1/2 inch pots.
