Xanthosoma lindenii (Caladium) This plant seems to really be a headache for botanist. It was first described as a Xanthosoma then moved to the Caladium clan now it may be placed in a new section all its own. Either way this is a beautiful plant with long hastate leaves dark green with white veins. The petiole is dark brown with small hair to fuzz like texture. Plants normally get 4 to 6 feet but really well grown plants can get over 8 feet tall with massive leaves. Plants are hardy to zone 9 and up. The best plants are usually grown wet part of the season.
